Gone Fishing

It’s a wonderful time to be in Wisconsin with so many lakes and rivers to enjoy!

This was a fun card that we made at our June classes.  The Let’s Go Fishing papers are perfect to add a quick background for your projects.  Stamp the fish on the blue woodgrain paper to save time coloring.

How about making a little jig with the In-Color Luster Specialty Paper?  I love the little shimmer on the hook and lure topped off with a little In-Color Jute Trim aka fly!  It’s easy to make:  the Jute Trim is made of three strands of twisted hemp.  Cut a two inch piece of jute. Untwist it, to separate the three strands.  Use one or two strands to make the little ‘fly’ by making a knot, trim down to 1/2 inch or less and fray out.  Attach it to the lure with a little drop of liquid glue.

Get a different look with the same layout, by using different designs from the pack of Let’s Go Fishing Papers.  The Happy Birthday sentiment can be found in the Something Fancy stamp set and the Stylish Shapes Dies are a must for any card.

How quick and easy is this ⬇️ ???  The fishing line was made with the Jute Trim by separating the three strands and using just one strand for the bobber.
