Do you save and collect the cancelled postage stamps when you receive Happy Mail?
Yes, I do. Just another one of my silly little things that I like to collect and once in a while I actually create something with one. ☺️
It’s the perfect time to share this card, because I used one of my favorite set of Dies and they are currently on sale! (November 16th – 18th, 2021) The Pierced Blooms Dies worked amazing to recreate the look of the Love Stamp I had saved a few years ago. Make sure to scroll down to the Ingredients section to see all the items currently on sale including all the colored cardstock and SU! ink pads!!!
I pulled out a retired set of rubber stamps to create this Anniversary card for our Daughter and Son-in-Law earlier this Fall.

For the top layer, I used our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I love the texture of this paper and it’s so easy to watercolor on. I used the ink pads listed in the Ingredients section, below, with a Water Painter to color in the image. For the skin color, I used our old, retired Blush Blossom ink. The Ivory Stampin’ Blend marker is a good one to use for skin color, too.
Here is the couple on the day they went out to celebrate their 4th Anniversary while Grandma stayed home with our precious Granddaughter.

The envelope these postage stamps came on was so clean, I decided to just rip around the edge and attach it as is. I love how it turned out.
And the Pierced Blooms Dies worked perfect to mimic the design on the postage stamp. One thing I love about this set of dies is that they all fit through the Mini Die Cutting Machine! (Are you looking for something to add to your Christmas wish list perhaps?)
These two Love stamps will be used on a future project.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and are inspired to start collecting those fun Postage stamps. After all, they’re free!

Gorgeous card! I love how you used the cancelled postage stamp. They are miniature works of art and it seems a shame to throw them all away with the used envelopes. I’ll give this idea a try myself. Thanks for sharing.
