I Love Love Love all the details in the Detailed Dove Dies. With such a beautiful center piece, you can keep the rest of the card super simple. These doves are cut from the smooth Whisper White Cardstock and they cut and emboss beautifully.
I also Love to emboss Vellum cardstock. To create these cards, I used the Vellum Cardstock with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing folder. The watercolor printed paper is actually from the Snowflake Splendor DSP pack.
A mini gold pearl fits perfectly into the eye hole. A subtle twig is also cut from the Vellum. A nice soft touch.
Stampin’ Tip: To adhere the vellum to the base card, you can use two different methods: You can sponge on liquid glue, lightly, all over the vellum, OR you can use glue or tape only behind the oval. On the light blue card I used adhesive behind the oval and on the navy card, I sponged glue onto the vellum to adhere it.
Also, to adhere the oval to the textured vellum, it works best to use liquid glue.
These cards can be used for Christmas or Sympathy or even encouragement. Any occasion really. They are so beautiful.
