Oh what a year it’s been. Right? On the day the United States started to shut down with the COVID-19 Pandemic, Friday, March 13th, we learned that we would become Grandparents this year (woooo hoooo!!!). To say the least, this year has put a new spin on pregnancy for our daughter and her husband. We were Very lucky to have a quick break in the soaring COVID cases to sneak in an outdoor Baby Shower for Momma to be.
So, of course, I need to share all the fun, homemade invites, etc…
They were simple on the outside and we attached computer printed info on the inside.
The nursery is simple with greenery accents, so, of course, I pulled out the Forever Greenery Suite! I also pulled an old set out for the Invite sentiment and my favorite Pink Pirouette cardstock from a few years back for the little slice of pink.
The small label used for ‘You’re Invited’ comes from the Ornate Frames Dies and the adorable pink scalloped layer was created with the help of a die in the Peony set. The ink colors used were Mint Macaron for the greenery sprig and Shaded Spruce for the Invite.
We knew that we had to keep the number of attendees down, to respect more social distancing, so I made only a few invitations. These went out only to family and Alisa’s close friends.
We decided to make box lunches, to prevent too much mingling and movement through out the outdoor tent. Had fun with a little pun for the box lunch. Used the Forever Greenery DSP for the belly band along with a couple older punches.
We masked up and prepared the food for the box lunches.
These turned out pretty cute with the menu punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and tied to the top of the lunch box with a little pink bias ribbon.
The Tables were fun. We couldn’t resist using the toilet paper for a game, so we had everyone guess the size of Alisa’s tummy with a length of toilet paper.
Brenda from Bakery on Terrace made all the cookies.
Momma and Daddy to be. Alisa and Joe.
Turned out to be a beautiful September day.
Meet our girls. From left: Kayla, Alisa, Me and Heidi. Everyone helped so much in putting this together. We are so blessed. Hard to believe Alisa wasn’t quite 5 yrs old when I started my Stampin’ Up! career.

Ingredients used to make the Invitations, Menus and Belly Band for the Chips. I added the Blushing Bride cardstock to the list as a nice pink alternative.
