Butterfly Hellos from Indianapolis (July 20, 2019)! #TBT Here’s a little tidbit about me… I love Murals. In fact when I discovered my favorite mural artist was in Indianapolis last Summer, creating this amazing butterfly, we had to find it when moving our daughter back from Tennessee. Oh My Goodnesssssss!!! I have been having so much fun creating for you this Summer! I thought it would be fun to pull some colors used in this mural for today’s cards.
I also wanted to use the Playful Alphabet Dies in a way that there would be no waste. You will see that the Butterfly Beauty Dies are huge, so I cut the die cuts apart to create two cards. The cards have completely different vibes to them. The first one is old retro and the second is just fresh and cute.
I Love the new Playful Alphabet Dies!!! Not only do you get the full Alphabet AND Numbers but I LOVE the extra letters included so you can make full words like we are today ‘HELLO’. You could also make ‘HAPPY’, ‘ANN’ … hahaha (just checking if you were reading lol). I am using the new Foam Adhesive Sheets to pop up the letters. Watch the video to get a closer look at how I used the foam sheet. They cut so nice!
Our new Just Jade combined with the Basic Black and Daffodil Delight really gives this card the Retro feel. The Butterfly Beauty Dies comes with two large dies that are made to layer. How Cool is That???
The second card’s finished size is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, so it fits perfectly into our Medium Envelope. You will see the left butterfly is off the edge of the card, and that’s ok, because the envelope is longer. By using this envelope, you can use the standard postage stamp. If you go to a square envelope, it will cost quite a bit more. I love to send different shaped cards for happy mail.
