Our favorite place to be is Up North!!! We just returned from a short stay and we had such a relaxing, peaceful time. I hope you have been able to take a break and get out this Summer.
So, our 2020 August – December Mini Catalog goes live on August 4th!!! As a demonstrator, I get to order all the new goodies NOW!!! Since this was all starting, right when we were leaving, I tried something new… shipping to an ‘address’ that doesn’t have USPS delivery… and guess what??? It Worked!!!
Wha Hooo!!!!! First UPS delivery to the North Woods!!!
I Love Love Love the pines of the Northwoods, so of course the first thing I had to play with was the new ‘In The Pines’ stamp set with it’s coordinating dies. It works so beautifully with the Snow Front stamp set.
Just a few stamping tips: the cabin stamp appears to have snow on the roof and smoke coming out of it’s chimney… to alter that look for a Summer day, I used my Blender pen in the Old Olive Ink to color the roof green, the green grass around the cabin and by the deer. Then, I just covered the smoke with the top layer to hide it. You could also use the Stampin’ Write markers right on the stamp to eliminate the smoke, or place a piece of washi tape over the smoke when inking and remove it before stamping. Now the ‘Snow’ Front stamp set can be used all year long! We saw lots of fawns on our vacation, so, the two little fawns on this card are perfect!
It’s so much fun to add a little detail to the inside of the card, too!
With a few of my own stamps and Wisconsin die I made a few cards for a local shop. I used the Old Olive ink on the Crumb Cake cardstock and the Mossy Meadow cardstock for the tall pine tree to have the mixed greens look. For the trunk of the tree, I used a little woodgrain paper from the new ‘In Good Taste’ DSP pack. Also, for the texture of the Old Olive cardstock… I pealed apart a piece of cardstock. So, this is actually the inside of the cardstock. That pine tree on the left was made with one of the dies in the new Pine Woods Dies set (In The Pines Bundle 155182, just in case you want to add that to your wish list for August 😉). Available Aug 4th!
Meet my new Grandpuppy – Lincoln❤️ Besides stamping all week, and planning the July Stampin’ Kits, we were bonding with our new little cutie. Don’t be fooled with those adorable eyes… he has quite the energy, chewer, digger…!!! but is also quite the snuggler on his down time.
