Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration!!! So I wanted to share two more products that are available only through today (March 31st): The Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (free with $50 order) and the Tags in Bloom stamp set (free with $100 order). These are all the items you will need to make these cards…
Dimensions for the layers:
Bermuda Bay base card: 11″ x 4 1/4″ (folded in half)
Copper or Silver Foil: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Flowering Foil Paper: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Whisper White card for inside writing surface: 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Ribbon: 4″
Foil scraps for stitched rectangle and punched piece.
Whisper White scrap for sentiment.
The first thing I did was created my Flowering Foil background with Pigment Sprinkles. Make sure you do this in a box with at least 3″ sides!!! It does get a bit messy… Here’s a QUICK video – one minute!:
To flatten the paper, after it’s dry, I just put it under one of my heavy glass bake dishes for a bit. Use liquid glue to adhere it to your foil.
I used the smallest rectangle in the Rectangle Stitched Dies set and did a little cut to expand it across my card. (sneaky)
For the next sneaky trick… Also cut the foil punched piece to expand it above and below the sentiment. Add Dimensionals to the back to give it a little lift over the stitched rectangle layer.
For the ribbon… just tie a single knot and attach it with a mini glue dot.
I couldn’t resist playing with the Gorgeous Grape Pigment Sprinkles, too:
The Grape is so striking with the silver foils. The sentiment, from the Special Celebrations stamp set, is So perfect to send to those you love right now.
I used some scrap strips to see how some of the other Pigment Sprinkles would look on the Flowering Foils… Ohhhh so pretty!!! These were only four of the six colors in the pack.
