Soft Touch To Rustic Retreat

I think you can take any sentiment and alter the mood with the background you choose to use.

The sentiment I used on this card is from Rustic Retreat; a stamp set that lends itself to a more rustic, masculine card.  Use any of the sayings with pretty paper and it instantly changes the mood.  Check out the Gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper that I used today.

Here is the Rustic Retreat stamp set that the sentiment came from:

Add a little Petal Pink cardstock and a soft pretty ribbon and you have a new look.

To create this card follow these simple steps:

Paper Sizes:  Blackberry Bliss cardstock = 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ ( fold in half)

Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper = 3 3/4″ x  5″

Petal Pink cardstock = 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

 * Stamp saying with a VersaMark stamp pad on scrap piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock

* Sprinkle White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on image and tap off excess powder

* Use Heat Tool to melt powder

* Cut out sentiment with a die from the Stitched Nested Labels, then add Black Demensionals to the back of the cardstock.

* Attach printed paper to Petal Pink cardstock, then wrap the Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, 3 times, before attaching it to the Blackberry Bliss base card.

* For the inside of the card, you can either use a white marker or add a layer of Whisper White cardstock to write on.
