I wasn’t sure what to call this post. It was initially called Hunting Season, but here, it’s actually gun hunting week. Deer hunting started in September with their bows, and will continue after this week with their bows, etc… 🦌 In our ‘neck of the woods’ this weekend is referred to as ‘deer hunter widow weekend’, which was the second title I was going to use for this post. Yes, I am a deer hunter widow… it’s an excuse to craft, clean, reorganize, blog (some gals do LOTS of shopping)… Every year it’s different, but that’s what I’m doing this weekend while the men are away hunting. Any way… let’s take a look at some simple cards that you can make for that special guy in your life… Hunter or Not… ( I know… I’m using alot of … today 😂)
I am in love with our Rustic Retreat set of stamps that was actually designed by a demonstrator in my group, right here in Wisconsin. Nice job Mary Polcin!!!
These cards are actually pretty quick and easy to create with the Rectangle Stitched Dies and a few Stampin’ Blends markers, and they were one’s that gals could choose to make at one of my classes. The pines around the edge were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink on Mossy Meadow cardstock. The sentiments were all stamped with Soft Suede ink.
The Rustic Retreat stamp set has sentiments for everything you need. Birthday, Thinking of You, Christmas, appreciation and even one for encouragement, shown above ⬆️.
I settled for Rustic Retreat in the Northwoods for the title of this post because my favorite stamp in this set is the little log home stamp. Oh My Goodness… Check out these cards that I received in swaps with other demonstrators… If you like Log homes/cabins you’re going to love these! Also, make sure to click on the pink Idea Box below for loads of more creative ideas.
The Season’s Greetings sentiment and frame stamps can be found in the Merry Christmas to All stamp set (147702) used on the second card here ⬇️.
Saved the best for last… ⬇️ 😍 Nice job Sherie! I am a lover of anything with Buffalo Check! (item 147797 if you have to have that, too)
