Step-by-Step Celebrate Pull Card

I hope you enjoy today’s post of pictures showing, step-by-step, instructions to make this card…

  This was my inspiration for the color combination used on this card: Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron & Sweet Sugarplum.  This is the new 6″x6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack is no longer available – SORRY.

The dimensions for the Whisper White top piece, here,  is 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″.  Use the ‘celebrate’ debossed impression folder found in the Celebration Duo pack (#142760) to create ‘celebrate’ image.  If you have the Multipurpose Platform, by Sizzix, leave the Tab 1 down for this step to get a nice deep impression.

Start stamping with the small circle stamp from the Happy Celebrations (#143012) stamp set with the Sweet Sugarplum ink pad.  By using a Stampin’ Pierce Mat, under the cardstock, it helps to get a crisp stamped image.

Stamping Step 2: use the splatter ink stamp from Gorgeous Grunge stamp set with the Mint Macaron ink pad.

Stamping Step 3: use the large circle stamp from the Happy Celebrations stamp set with the Bermuda Bay ink pad.  Finish with ‘YOUR DAY’ from this same set.

For your base card, use Sweet Sugarplum cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5″.  Score this base layer at 5/8″ and 4 5/8″.  Adhere the White top to the Sweet Sugarplum base.  Now, use the long banner die from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims (#135854) Dies set.  This will cut thru both layers.  If you can run this thru and back, just over this die, without going over the ‘celebrate’, your stamped, debossed area will be preserved (otherwise it will flatten the debossed image).

Use the 1″ Circle punch to cut notch on side of card.  Fold Card at score lines.  Now, use liquid glue or fast fuse to adhere back of card to narrow strip.

Now, Stamp inside card (3 7/8″ x 4 1/2″) with the saying from Balloon Adventures (#142823).

Insert white card and stamp “THE BEST IS YET TO COME” from the Balloon Adventures set.  To create the balloons, use the Balloon Bouquet punch for the Mint Macaron large base and the Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer smaller balloon.  Use the large, polka dot balloon die from the Balloon Pop-up Thinlits Dies set. (save the dots for fun embellishments).  Place two Dimensionals, as shown, for the balloons.
