Had fun creating this gem for my Hun… He likes Neon signs, so this new Marquee Messages set of stamps was perfect for the occasion! For someone that’s colorblind, this is the perfect color combination with the Daffodil Delight and Dapper Denim (colors he can actually see). He Loved it!!!
I used our Watercolor Paper to create the top of the card with our new Marquee Messages stamp set. Stamp with the Archival Basic Black ink, then use an Aqua Painter with the inks to color in the image. Our Archival inks do Not bleed when water coloring!!!
For the background paper I used our new Pop of Pink DSP (Designer Series Paper). With the Chevron print, I cut the bottom and top to accent the zig-zag design. For the yellow and blue layers I used my distressing tool on the edges. You could also use the edge of your scissors to get this look.
To add a little finishing fun, I used the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the side lines and stars, AND I added pearls for lights! Did you know you can change the color of any of your pearls, dots or rhinestones??? I have a big pack of Sharpie markers ready to grab for these things. My biggest tip on using these… Color your pearls, dots, or rhinestones BEFORE you put them on your card. Yes! Just use the markers right on the sheet they are on when you get them. Let them dry for a couple seconds, then put them on your card.
