First of all, I want to do a little Shout Out “Happy 1st Anniversary” to Katie & Jon!!! Katie is one of my XS-ive Stampers 😉 (a.k.a. my group of stampers that regularly come to my monthly classes). I know that Katie Love’s to create and so I knew she would love a hand made gift. So here is a gift idea with a whole lot of Love… Make sure you scroll down to check out the finished gift pic.
I started by taking Katie’s Wedding invitation and matching the color with one of our own. A monogram set of cards is great for any newlyweds. You can make these as Thank You cards or leave blank for them to pull out for any occasion, just in case they already have Thank You notes planned for their special day. Typically the invitation will represent the bride’s favorite color and the color of the bridesmaid dresses. If the invitations are black and white, then go with that or take a peak at the gift registry for an idea of their favorite colors.
The gift includes a little box of supplies for Katie and Jon to use with their new address stamp. The box is our Wide Stamp Case – Half (#127552). The box had a plastic sleeve wrapped around the outside so I made a custom little sheet to slide into this sleeve with their colors and a little burlap to match the theme used to decorate for the wedding. Inside the box is their custom address stamp, a coral stamp pad, and a Soft Suede stamp pad. A refill bottle of ink would be a great idea to add to the box of goodies, too.
This gift was made a year ago, before our custom stamps were discontinued. Since Katie & Jon were moving into their first home, it was fun to order their first return address stamp! You can find several custom made address stamps, today, just by searching for ‘Custom Address Stamp’ on Pinterest or Etsy. There, you will find a ton of fun fonts and creative custom stamps!!! I think this is a great, unique, gift for any newlyweds… Then come back to me for your ink, ribbon and cardstock 😉
This is what a set of 100 cards with envelopes and the gift box looked like before I wrapped it up with a wide burlap ribbon… Thanks for letting me share this on my page Katie!!! Happy Anniversary and hope you have many, many wonderful years together!
Thanks for visiting my blog today… I hope you will be inspired to make a Hand Made Wedding Gift for one of your friends! Need Ideas? I can help you with that, too.
