When I discovered #plaidurday last week, I was on it!!! This day struck close to my heart ❣️ My Dad was a man of many plaids! After his retirement you could find him, daily, in different plaids. He especially loved his Pendleton plaids, which became an annual gift from us.
This post is dedicated to him who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year❤️
Happy Plaidurday in heaven Dad ❣️
We have had sprinkles of plaid in past paper packs, but this year Stampin’ Up! nailed it!!! Cheers to Stampin’ Up! for offering this awesome Designer Series Paper (DSP) – Wrapped In Plaid.
Lol! I’m not even going to appoligize for the long post, because I am loving every one of these shirts!!! I think the saying goes sorry-not sorry. 😉 Enjoy!
Scroll down for step-by-step instructions!
I can’t remember where I picked up the tiny buttons, but you may have luck looking at your local fabric / craft store.
Keep scrolling to see how I made this next card ⬇️ I Cut my Soft Suede cardstock 11″ x 4.25″ for the base card; scoring it at 5.5″ for a long fold.
Base shirt = 6″ x 3.5″ : Cut approximately 1/2″ strip for center along with Shaded Spruce or Cherry Cobbler cardstock to go under this strip.
Score at 1″ from top ⬇️
Fold over and flip over before cutting just below the plaid.
Turn around and insert to cut opposite side. If you need a neat trimmer like this… we have a new one coming out in November! Stop back to order your’s or message me and I will put you on the list to order as soon as it’s available.
I used Snail Adhesive to keep the collar in place after I folded it back.
Lay the button strip to fit your shirt.
Of course I had to create my buttons to match the Pendleton shirts that he wore 😇. Whoa! That just hit me. 😭 Neat tip – Our Stampin’ Blends are permanent! so they are awesome to use on things like this. ⬇️
And Wha La!!!!!! 😍 Oh… and make pockets with the leftover paper!
Throw back 20 yrs! This is my tribe ❤️
One last tip – I used mini glue dots to tack down the collar on all of the shirts.
