It’s always Soccer Season somewhere and during the Fall I am proud to say, my nephew plays Varsity Soccer for his high school team. I always find it a challenge to create cards for boys and men. I have quite a collection of stamps for different sports and for the outdoors that I love to use and I am so excited that we carry this Hexagon Hive die to make this Soccer Ball creation so easy. This isn’t something I dreamed up… of course I use Pinterest, too! But I thought I would share with you how I made this fun card for my nephew’s birthday…
Start with running both a White and Black sheet of cardstock thru your die cutting machine using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits (#132965 ). Save all the little pieces!!! Put a piece of white cardstock under the newly cut design and fill in the spaces with your hexagon shapes. Some will go in the the spaces and some will go on the top of other shapes.
Pull out your circle dies and choose which size is good for your card. I used the 3.25″ from our Circle Thinlits set (sorry the pics below are taken before I placed the white piece under neath and before I glued the pieces down)
Add a little color to match the Team colors and you are good to go!
I love our new Washi Tape Punch (#138296) to use with the saying. Shop here for any supplies used in this card…
